Brain Awareness Week-more locations
The Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is an initiative that for more than 25 years has been working on connecting the all the scientific fields studying the brain with the non-academic community and the general population to understand why it is important to learn, to know, to study, and to take care about the brain. The BWA is celebrated on the third week of March every year in more than 100 countries involving different universities, hospitals, NGOs, colleges, and private organizations.Here you can find some Brain Awareness Week activities in The Netherlands and around the world!
The members of the BWA are all gathered under the coordination of the Dana Foundation, from which the Erasmus University College has become a partner from April 2022 and will have the opportunity of being part of the BAW 2023.

On Saturday March 18th, neuroscientists from Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour of the Radboud University are organizing the Brain Market in Nijmegen. This will take place at the intersection of Broerstraat and Ziekerstraat during Nijmegen’s weekly market, from 10 – 15h.
Although this year Hersenstichting is not organizing a Brain Awareness Week, they have some valuable information and funny activities on the website.
